Just straight into the not-so-new area in PIK, Elang Laut Shop house offered many variants of restaurant and cafe. After several times only passed by this area, finally we had chance to visit PIK Seafood.

It stands for "Pantai Indah Kepiting" which was literally named because they have specialty for crab dishes. As a seafood lovers, this was great experienced that we had. Really enjoyed each of the dishes. Before begin, let's look around for the cozy and calm ambiances from this place.

As a Jakarta's citizen, I personally more often found good seafood when it located as a street food, but it didn't work in here. A nice, clean and cozy ambiance surround this place already made my opinion changed. It seems everyone was enjoying their food when we came to this place. I think it will fit for 60 to 70 seats, quite spacious isn't it?

Okay, now let's see what they are specialized in. No doubt, it definitely the crabs! They use Papuan Mud Crab which if you noticed about this crab is they always, always come in big size! Only a satisfaction will you get when you enjoying mud crab.

A fresh seafood will be tasted sweet and has fresh aroma as well. We experienced just like that with their Black Pepper Crab (198k). No need extra power to crack the crab, it was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The crab meat texture was chewy and tender. We all really get hooked by this crab, the black pepper sauce also suit for us, spicy yet so addicted! What can we say more? Reallyy goooooooddd!

Same crab, different sauce, great taste! Another delightful crab dishes but now came in with more spices. The big size of this crab just made the curry taste so flavorful and the flavor sipped into the crab meat. It worked best if you add the curry sauce with the meaty crab and warm rice then spooning it with your bare hand! Kare Sauce Crab (198k)

It wasn't enough if you didn't have grilled fresh fish or clams. So enjoy this, Ikan Kuwe Rica-Rica (98k) basically when it grilled with rica-rica style you will get sweating by it's spiciness, but we can still handle it. You can't hold the goodness of the fresh seafood, because it made this fish tasted sweet and tasty!

We were agreed that the Gurame Chili Singapore (89k) sauce work really well on us! We love it because of it's great combinations and how it taste when combined with the gurame fish! Superb and excellent dish!

The Kerang Hijau in Padang Sauce (38k) I think is the most ordered dish when I go to any seafood place. Because I love the simplicity of crispy mussels with the spicy taste of padang sauce. Here in PIK Seafood, it was nice to have this.
