It's true but you should know in Oakwood Premier Cozmo Jakarta building there's one place you need to know, that is Oakroom Restaurant & Bar.

As an Oakwood Premier's signature restaurant, Oakroom present "A Taste of France", French food promotion as a part of Oakwood Asia Pacific's chef exchange program. Oakroom Jakarta present Executive Chef Jerome Cartailler from Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center, Manila and It's only available for limited time from 6 - 30 October 2015.

Heading to the 3rd floor where Oakroom located in Oakwood building, a French theme was so exquisite. A red and blue scene by the Oakroom's decoration has seen almost all over the entire room. We were welcomed by Ms. Lina Sugiarto, Director of Sales & Marketing Oakwood Premier Cozmo Jakarta, and seated with some of media crew and bloggers.

Around 12PM the events has begun and we got welcome drink by the waiters. So the event was started and Mr. Malcolm Hines as Oakwood General Manager giving a short speech about this event.

"A Taste of France" Menu

We got a set menu from appetizer, main course and dessert. All the menu was a classical French cuisine. We'd never taste any classical French cuisine before, so for our first time it's been so exciting!

Warm Goat Cheese Salad, Walnut Vinaigrette
The first dish was Warm Goat Cheese Salad, Walnut Vinaigrette. A baked "buche" goat cheese on toast with mixed greens and walnut vinaigrette. Goat cheese is kind of new thing for us, it has unique taste but it was good enough to made us craving for more. Made from goat milk, taste of the cheese was just right and all the salad seasoning wasn't over power. We liked the unique blend of goat cheese and walnut. It's quite tempting for the appetizer.

Norwegian Salmon Aioli Sauce with Ratatouille Vegetables
After enjoying our goat cheese salad, the norwegian salmon has come to our table. From it looks, the salmon looking fresh and perfectly cooked. The first bite coming to our mouth was good! All was well seasoned, not to oily and it's not too soft but soft enough to cut it only with your fork. Then we tried to rub it with aioli sauce, the aioli's taste just like a mayonnaise for me so it was good enough. I didn't get much for the ratatouille vegetables, I mean on my plate there was only some of vegetables like asparagus, long beans, cherry tomatoes and mashed potato.

Profiteroles with Warm Chocolate Sauce
It comes to an end, dessert! Profiteroles with Warm Chocolate Sauce is a choux pastry filled with vanilla ice cream and topper with chocolate sauce. It's a one bite size, the sweet dessert was taste so good! A light pastry for the classical French cuisine is simply my favorite!
