Back when we had a trip in Bali, there were so much change from the
tourist attraction till cafe/restaurant. So many good places that worth
to visit, find the Bali foodies then search for awesome recommendation
from them, I bet you will get a lot of list! While you are searching
some of nicest place in Bali, there's one place in Seminyak that you
need to know, it's called MoVida. Located in the same location of Potato Head Beach Club Bali and Katamama Hotel, you will find this Spanish restaurant inside of
Katamama. The hotel itself was already amazing with red bricks
wall theme combined with indigo color and so on! There are already some reviews about this hotel, you can google it as well. But now it's
time to tell you about the MoVida and their specialty for Spanish
cuisine!
MoVida open the first branch in Asia and it was in Bali, the well-known restaurant from Melbourne is something you won't miss. From a-la-carte to the set menu, all the Spanish dish was pretty amazing! We got full set menu for couples, so lets start with the first one. Shall we?
Set Menu at MoVida Bali
Inside these set menu there are 9 dish from the appetizer, main-course and dessert. The first one is Tablas, 5 types of cured meats, sliced and served in cold. Good things come first! Those sliced meats was amazingly great! Salty taste is suit for starting our palate.

Second dish was Anchoa, using Crouton topped with Anchovy fish and smoked tomato sorbet. a refreshing single bite dish! One whole new experience to taste this!

Getting our Erizo is another new dish that we had to our tummy! For the first time we tried Sea Urchin and was made into a custard combined with migas (traditional Spanish dish made from leftover bread. source: wikipedia) and seaweed.

Delicious yet indulging dish from Cangrejo. It was made from soft shell crab and seaweed alioli then covered with squid ink bun. Crispy and sweet inside on your every bite! All those was amazingly good and we were got hooked by its taste! It also the MOST FAVORITE DISH at MoVida, no wonder this is one of the most wanted dish!
Cangrejo (RECOMMENDED)
This quite-simple dish, Croqueta, was just an okay dish. Made from Jamon and Mahon Cheese Croqquette, it suit for snacking.

Tried a Spanish salad with Salpicon, a chilled seafood salad with avocado puree and ajo blanco (it was a popular Spanish cold soup). They also put some fish roe on top of the dish. Fresh and flavorful taste in your spoon.

It's like a grilled asparagus and was served with some kind of nuts and red-pepper based sauce called romesco sauce. Crisp texture both from the asparagus and nuts from the sauce.
Esparragos
Boneless Sumatra Spring Chicken with Escalivada Salad (or called smoky grilled vegetables). An aromatic chicken with rich taste, well marinated and grilled. So lucky to have this in MoVida. Juicy meat texture and of course tasty chicken skin! Love it!
Pollo
In the end of our Spanish food experience we had this desserts called Flan. The texture is similar with panna cotta and this has sweet caramel taste and also served with spiced pestinos pastries.

After many dish we had at MoVida, we conclude that Spanish dish is quite unique and we love to try out more like this. It gave us new experience about how it will taste and what they use to make it. So this is one of our precious moment where we were at Bali.
